Employee Assistance Program

The EAP is premised on the belief that mental health has a direct correlation to the performance and productivity of the employee. EAP is a work-based intervention program designed to identify and assist employees in resolving work-related issues and personal challenges that may be adversely affecting their performance at work, such as marital, financial, emotional problems.

Typically, what happens when you offer an EAP is that an employee under stress can meet or call at a phone number to get immediate help from a Coach. Some of the critical areas where we have worked with the organizations are:

  • Work-related concerns
  • Personal growth and development issues
  • Adjusting to a new culture and isolation
  • Marital, family and relationship problems
  • Emotional struggles associated with stress, anxiety or depression
  • Team building
  • Transition from one role to another
  • Parenting challenges
  • Psychological assessment and testing
  • Separation of family members and bereavement

Most EAPs provide a set number of coaching referral sessions, from 1 to 3 or sometimes more depending on individual need at no cost to the employee. This program helps the employee to get the ball rolling.

Benefits of having EAP program in your organization

If issues like Absenteeism, grievances, terminations, medical disability, etc are left untreated in the workplace, they translate into poor performance, missed work, bad customer service and workplace injuries that may cost the employers in terms of disability and workers compensation.

An EAP is designed to give employees the help they need to resolve all kinds of issues, so they can remain on-the-job and productive. It’s a benefit many employees appreciate but may never think to ask for.

“Happiness depends upon ourselves.”
